15-epi-PGE1
15-epi-PGE1 (15 (R)-Prostaglandin E1; 15-epiprostaglandin E1) is a stereoisomer of PGE1 (HY-B0131), but its biological activity is much lower than that of PGE1. 15-epi-PGE1 is a weak non-competitive inhibitor of human placental 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (15-PGDH), with an IC50 of 170 μM. 15-epi-PGE1 has low vasodilatory, antihypertensive, and smooth muscle-stimulating activities.

Description
IC50 & Target
170 μM (15-PGDH)
In Vitro
15-epi-PGE1 exhibits extremely weak smooth muscle-stimulating activity in isolated rat uterus and guinea pig ileum assays, with relative potencies of 0.008 and 0.02, respectively, compared with natural PGE1 (1.00)[2].
