3-Chlorobenzaldehyde
Based on 1 Customer Validation
3-Chlorobenzaldehyde (m-Chlorobenzenecarboxaldehyde) is a substrate of rat liver microsomal aldehyde dehydrogenase (mALDH) and undergoes mALDH-mediated dehydrogenation to generate the corresponding carboxylic acid. 3-Chlorobenzaldehyde is a chlorine-substituted aromatic benzaldehyde organic synthesis building block and can serve as an intermediate for research related to organic synthesis.

In Vitro
3-Chlorobenzaldehyde reacts with 4-bromoacetophenone (HY-20436) to synthesize chalcone JA2, and the resulting JA2 possesses antioxidant and α-glucosidase inhibitory activities[2].
3-Chlorobenzaldehyde (compound 9) is a substrate of purified rat liver mALDH, with a Km of 968 µM and a Vmax of 20.3 nmol/min (µg/protein)[3].
3-Chlorobenzaldehyde can react as a precursor to yield Schiff base derivatives[4].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
