3-Iodo-L-phenylalanine (1 mM; 60 min at 37 °C) enables IFRS to aminoacylate diverse M. mazei tRNAPyl anticodon variants with comparable efficiency (≈20% after 60 min at 37 °C), confirming anticodon-independent activity[1].
IFRS binds diverse M. mazei tRNAPyl anticodon variants with similar affinity (Kd = 0.83-1.19 μM) in vitro, supporting anticodon-independent recognition[1].
