Poria cocos Extract

Pachymic acid is a lanostrane-type triterpenoid from P. cocos. Pachymic acid inhibits Akt and ERK signaling pathways.

Poricoic acid A can be isolated from Poria cocos. Poricoic acid A is an orally active anti-tumor agent. Poricoic acid A enhances melatonin inhibition of AKI-to-CKD transition by regulating Gas6/AxlNFκB/Nrf2 axis. Poricoic acid A also attenuatea fibroblast activation and abnormal extracellular matrix remodeling in renal fibrosis by activating AMPK and inhibiting Smad3. Poricoic acid A significantly reduces the magnitude of rise in serum creatinine and urea levels in rat model when combined with Melatonin. Poricoic acid A ameliorates renal fibrosis and podocyte injury by attenuating oxidative stress and inflammation through regulating NF-κB and Nrf2 in IRI rodent model in combination with Melatonin.

Dehydrotumulosic acid is one of the effective constituents of Poria cocos. Poria cocos, a popular Chinese medicinal herb of fungal origin, has been included in many combinations with other CM herbs for its traditionally claimed activities of inducing diuresis, excreting dampness, invigorating the spleen and tranquilizing the mind and its modern pharmacological use of modulating the immune system of the body.

Poricoic acid B is a triterpenoid compound that can be isolated from Poria cocos. Poricoic acid B inhibits intracellular lipid accumulation and reduces the levels of hepatocyte injury markers. Poricoic acid B inhibits the production of NO, TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6, thereby exerting anti-inflammatory activity. Poricoic acid B can be used in the research of metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease and inflammatory diseases^[3].

Tumulosic acid, a triterpenoid, inhibits KLK5 protease activity (IC₅₀= 14.84 μM). Tumulosic acid suppresses the proteolytic processing of LL-37 in keratinocytes at ≤10 μM.

Pachymic acid (Standard) is the analytical standard of Pachymic acid. This product is intended for research and analytical applications. Pachymic acid is a lanostrane-type triterpenoid from P. cocos. Pachymic acid inhibits Akt and ERK signaling pathways.

Polyporusterone A is a triterpene carboxylic acid isolated from Polyporus umbellatus Fries. Polyporusterone A has inhibitory effect on free radical-induced lysis of red blood cells (hemolysis).

Polyporenic acid C is a lanostane-type triterpenoid. Polyporenic acid C can be isolated from Poria cocos. Polyporenic acid C causes the cleavage of caspase-8 and caspase-3, as well as the cleavage of PARP. Polyporenic acid C reduces the phosphorylation level of Akt (Ser473), increases the phosphorylation of PTEN and p53 (Ser15), and activates JNK. Polyporenic acid C induces Apoptosis. Polyporenic acid C shows anticancer activity against non-small cell lung cancer.

Dehydropachymic acid is one of the major triterpenes isolated from Poria cocos. Dehydropachymic acid is more effective in autophagy-lysosome pathway (ALP) impaired cells rather than normal cells.

Polyporusterone B is a triterpene carboxylic acid isolated from Polyporus umbellatus Fries. Polyporusterone B has inhibitory effect on free radical-induced lysis of red blood cells (hemolysis).

3-Dehydrotrametenolic acid, isolated from the sclerotium of Poria cocos, is a lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) inhibitor. 3-Dehydrotrametenolic acid promotes adipocyte differentiation in vitro and acts as an insulin sensitizer in vivo. 3-Dehydrotrametenolic acid induces apoptosis and has anticancer activity.

L-Uridine is an enantiomer of the normal RNA constituent D-uridine. L-Uridine can be isolated from the Polyporaceae fungus Poria cocos (Schw.). L-uridine acts as a phosphate acceptor for nucleoside phosphotransferases.

3-Epidehydrotumulosic acid has inhibitory activity against AAPH-induced lysis of red blood cells.

3-O-Acetyl-16α-hydroxytrametenolic acid (Compound 3) is a triterpene found in Poria cocos, with anti-oxidant and anti-cancer activity.

16α-Hydroxydehydrotrametenolic acid is a triterpene Acid in fermented mycelia of edible fungus Poria cocos.

Poricoic acid AM is a triterpenoid with ant-tumor activities.

16α-Hydroxytrametenolic acid, a natural triterpene, is a potential retinoid X receptor (RXR) selective agonist.

3-Epidehydropachymic acid, a lanostane triterpenoid, shows totoxicity effect against human acute monocytic leukemia cell line THP-1 (IC₅₀=52.51 μM).

Dehydrotrametenolic acid is a sterol isolated from the sclerotium of Poria cocos. Dehydrotrametenolic acid induces apoptosis through caspase-3 pathway. Dehydrotrametenolic acid has anti-tumor activity, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic effects.

Dehydroeburicoic acid monoacetate (Compound 18) is a lanostane triterpenoid isolated from Wolfiporia cocos.
