Antifungal agent 186
Antifungal agent 186 is an antifungal agent targeting CYP51. Antifungal agent 186 coordinates with the heme iron of CYP51 through the triazole ring nitrogen atom, inhibiting sterol 14α-demethylase and thereby disrupting ergosterol biosynthesis. Antifungal agent 186 disrupts hyphal morphology and interferes with membrane-associated processes. Antifungal agent 186 exhibits broad-spectrum antifungal activity against various plant pathogenic fungi and oomycetes, and shows protective and curative efficacy on apple fruit, tomato fruit, and Suzhou green leaves. Antifungal agent 186 can be used in research related to fungal infections (such as gray mold).

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
Antifungal agent 186 (0.010 μg/mL; 4 days) disrupts the mycelial morphology of Botrytis cinerea, causing surface shrinkage and distortion[1].
Antifungal agent 186 (50-200 μg/mL; 2-7 days) exhibits both protective and curative efficacy against plant pathogenic fungal infections and shows protective and curative activity on plant tissues, with a protective efficacy of 94.6% against Valsa mali on apple fruit at high concentrations and a protective efficacy of 100% against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum on Suzhou green leaves at medium concentrations[1].
