Abscisic-aldehyde oxidase acts on both (+)- and (–)-abscisic aldehyde, oxidizing it to abscisate with O2→H2O2, the last step of plant abscisic acid biosynthesis; also slowly acts on indole-3-aldehyde, 1-naphthaldehyde, benzaldehyde.
