(+)-Alpha-terpineol synthase
Definition:
EC Tree > 4 Lyases > 4.2 Carbon-oxygen lyases > 4.2.3 Acting on phosphates > 4.2.3.112 (+)-alpha-terpineol synthase
(+)-Alpha-terpineol synthase is a monoterpene cyclase characterized from Santalum album (sandalwood). With water it converts geranyl diphosphate into (+)-alpha-terpineol and diphosphate, also forming some (-)-limonene (see EC 4.2.3.16). It appears in viruses and cellular organisms. Structurally it is a monoterpene cyclase.
