APS sulfotransferase is the APS-dependent thiol-sulfating enzyme. It transfers the sulfono group from adenosine 5'-phosphosulfate (APS) onto a thiol, releasing adenosine 5'-phosphate and an S-alkyl thiosulfate, an alternative to PAPS-dependent sulfation. Expected in Eukaryota and Bacteria.
