[Amino group carrier protein]-lysine hydrolase is a hydrolase found in archaea and bacteria that participates in an L-lysine biosynthetic pathway; in some organisms it also catalyzes EC 3.5.1.132. It hydrolyzes [amino group carrier protein]-C-terminal-gamma-(L-lysyl)-L-glutamate into [amino group carrier protein]-C-terminal-L-glutamate and L-lysine. In microbes it releases lysine from the carrier. It features an amidohydrolase fold.
