Beta-pinacene synthase is a diterpene cyclase isolated from the slime-mould Dictyostelium discoideum. The 1-pro-R hydrogen of geranylgeranyl diphosphate is lost during the reaction. It cyclizes geranylgeranyl diphosphate into beta-pinacene and diphosphate. Structurally it is a diterpene cyclase.
