Beta-thujene synthase is a monoterpene cyclase isolated from Cananga odorata var. fruticosa (ylang ylang). It cyclizes geranyl diphosphate into beta-thujene and diphosphate, forming roughly equal proportions of beta-thujene, sabinene, beta-pinene and alpha-terpinene (see EC 4.2.3.109/110, EC 4.2.3.120/122, EC 4.2.3.115). Structurally it is a monoterpene cyclase.
