Bisucaberin synthase requires Mg2+. Characterized from Aliivibrio salmonicida, it catalyzes the last step of the cyclic dihydroxamate siderophore bisucaberin biosynthesis in two stages: concatenation of two N1-hydroxy-N1-succinylcadaverine molecules to bisucaberin B, then cyclization to bisucaberin. Structurally it is an NIS-type siderophore synthetase.
