Caffeate CoA-transferase is the Acetobacterium woodii phenolic-acid-activating energy-saving CoA loop. It transfers CoA from 3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)propanoyl-CoA onto caffeate (also 4-coumarate and ferulate), releasing 3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)propanoate and caffeyl-CoA. Expected in Acetobacterium woodii.
