Ceramidase
Definition:
Choloylglycine hydrolase is a gut bacterial hydrolase found in bacteria, eukaryotes and archaea, also acting on the 3alpha,12alpha-dihydroxy derivative and choloyl-taurine. It hydrolyzes glycocholate into cholate and glycine. In the gut microbiome it deconjugates bile acids. It features a cholylglycine hydrolase fold.
