Cu+-exporting ATPase

Definition:

EC Tree > 3 Hydrolases > 3.6 Acting on acid anhydrides > 3.6.3 Acting on acid anhydrides to catalyse transmembrane movement of substances > 3.6.3.54 Cu+-exporting ATPase
Cu+-exporting ATPase is a P-type ATPase that becomes covalently phosphorylated during transport; it transports Cu+ or Ag+ and cannot transport divalent ions, unlike EC 3.6.3.4 which mainly transports divalent Cu2+. It hydrolyzes ATP to efflux monovalent copper. In cells it exports Cu+. It features a P1B-type ATPase.
