N-methyl-2-oxoglutaramate hydrolase is a hydrolase from Pseudomonas sp.; in the reverse reaction the product cyclizes non-enzymically to 2-hydroxy-N-methyl-5-oxo-L-proline. It hydrolyzes N-methyl-2-oxoglutaramate into 2-oxoglutarate and methylamine. In the bacterium it degrades N-methylated glutaramate. It features an amidohydrolase fold.
