Dapdiamide synthase, characterized from Pantoea agglomerans, is the NRPS-like enzyme that elongates the DAP starter with L-valine, L-isoleucine or L-leucine to complete the dapdiamide scaffold; it is used in biosynthesis of fumaramoyl- and epoxysuccinamoyl peptides. Structurally it is an adenylation-domain NRPS-like enzyme.
