Deacetoxyvindoline 4-hydroxylase

Definition:

EC Tree > 1 Oxidoreductases > 1.14 Acting on paired donors, with incorporation or reduction of molecular oxygen > 1.14.11 With 2-oxoglutarate as one donor, and incorporation of one atom of oxygen into each donor > 1.14.11.20 deacetoxyvindoline 4-hydroxylase
Deacetoxyvindoline 4-hydroxylase is an Fe2+- and ascorbate-dependent 2-oxoglutarate oxygenase from Catharanthus roseus, also acting on 3-hydroxy-16-methoxy-2,3-dihydrotabersonine and (less strongly) 16-methoxy-2,3-dihydrotabersonine. It hydroxylates deacetoxyvindoline at C4 to deacetylvindoline, releasing succinate and CO2.
