Exodeoxyribonuclease (lambda-induced) is the phage-lambda-induced 5'-to-3' dsDNA exonuclease. It digests linear dsDNA in the 5'-to-3' direction, releasing nucleoside 5'-phosphates; it does not attack single-strand breaks. It occurs in viruses and cellular organisms.
