DCTP diphosphatase is a dUTPase-like phosphohydrolase found in viruses and cellular organisms; the mammalian enzyme also has weak dTTP and dATP activity but no dGTP activity, and is most active on 5-iodo-dCTP and 5-methyl-dCTP analogs. It hydrolyzes dCTP into dCMP and diphosphate. In cells it sanitizes dCTP. It features a dUTPase fold.
