Geraniol isomerase is a bifunctional linalool dehydratase-isomerase; in the absence of oxygen it catalyzes in vitro isomerization of (3S)-linalool to geraniol (the hydration of myrcene to (3S)-linalool is classified as EC 4.2.1.127 linalool dehydratase). It is found in Castellaniella defragrans. It isomerizes geraniol into (3S)-linalool. Structurally it is a bacterial terpene isomerase.
