L-iduronidase is a lysosomal glycosaminoglycan-processing glycosidase that hydrolyses unsulfated alpha-L-iduronosidic linkages in dermatan sulfate. By removing the alpha-L-iduronic acid it starts lysosomal degradation of dermatan sulfate; deficiency causes Hurler-Scheie mucopolysaccharidosis. It appears in viruses and cellular organisms.
