Longifolene synthase is a Pinaceae sesquiterpene cyclase. As well as 61% longifolene, it gives 15% alpha-longipinene, 6% longicyclene and traces of other sesquiterpenoids. It cyclizes (2E,6E)-farnesyl diphosphate into longifolene and diphosphate. Structurally it is a sesquiterpene cyclase.
