(-)-Alpha-terpineol synthase is a monoterpene cyclase characterized from Vitis vinifera (grape). With water it converts geranyl diphosphate into (-)-alpha-terpineol and diphosphate, also forming some 1,8-cineole and traces of other monoterpenoids. It appears in viruses and cellular organisms. Structurally it is a monoterpene cyclase.
