Molybdopterin synthase
Definition:

Molybdopterin synthase is the MoCo-biosynthesis ene-dithiol-forming enzyme. It condenses cyclic pyranopterin monophosphate with two thiocarboxylated small subunits, releasing molybdopterin and the two spent carrier proteins; two sulfur atoms form the characteristic ene-dithiol that chelates Mo. It is a large-subunit dimer with two small thiocarboxylated subunits. Expected in Eukaryota, Bacteria and Archaea.
