NADH kinase is the NADPH-generating reductant-biosynthesis kinase specific for NADH. It phosphorylates NADH on the 2'-hydroxyl, releasing ADP and NADPH; CTP, ITP, UTP and GTP can also act as donors in decreasing order of activity, and acetate activates the enzyme. It is distinct from EC 2.7.1.23. Expected in Eukaryota and Bacteria.
