NMN nucleosidase is an NAD+-salvage N-riboside hydrolase that hydrolyses beta-nicotinamide D-ribonucleotide into D-ribose 5-phosphate and nicotinamide; in eukaryotes this activity has been attributed to ADP-ribosyl cyclase/cyclic ADP-ribose hydrolase (EC 3.2.2.6). By cleaving NMN it is thought to participate in the NAD+-salvage pathway. It is distributed across Bacteria and Eukaryota.
