5-Aminopentanamidase is a hydrolase from Pseudomonas putida, found in bacteria and eukaryotes, which also acts on 4-aminobutanamide and more slowly on 6-aminohexanamide. It hydrolyzes 5-aminopentanamide into 5-aminopentanoate and ammonia. In the bacterium it degrades omega-amino acid amides. It features an amidase fold.
