Ornithine cyclodeaminase is an NAD+-dependent enzyme of the mu-crystallin family. It cyclodeaminates L-ornithine into L-proline and ammonia; the reaction is stimulated by ADP or ATP and inhibited by O2. It is found in Bacteria, Eukaryota and Archaea. Structurally it is a mu-crystallin/ORN cyclodeaminase.
