Phosphoamidase
Definition:
EC Tree > 3 Hydrolases > 3.9 Acting on phosphorus-nitrogen bonds > 3.9.1 Acting on phosphorus-nitrogen bonds (only sub-subclass identified to date) > 3.9.1.1 phosphoamidase
Phosphoamidase also acts on N-phosphoarginine and other phosphoamides; it may be identical with EC 3.1.3.9 glucose-6-phosphatase or EC 3.1.3.16 protein-serine/threonine phosphatase. It hydrolyzes N-phosphocreatine into creatine and phosphate. In phosphagen turnover it cleaves P-N. It features a phosphatase fold.
