Phosphogluconate dehydratase is a dehydratase of the Entner-Doudoroff pathway. It dehydrates 6-phospho-D-gluconate into 2-dehydro-3-deoxy-6-phospho-D-gluconate and water. It is found in Bacteria and Eukaryota. Structurally it is an Fe-S cluster-dependent IlvD/EDD dehydratase.
