Photosystem I is a pigment-protein complex of oxygenic photosynthesis containing chlorophyll, phylloquinones, carotenoids and [4Fe-4S] clusters that uses light energy to oxidize plastocyanin (or cytochrome c6) and reduce ferredoxin (or flavodoxin in some species), feeding electrons into NADP+ reduction.
