Precorrin-3B synthase
Definition:
EC Tree > 1 Oxidoreductases > 1.14 Acting on paired donors, with incorporation or reduction of molecular oxygen > 1.14.13 With NADH or NADPH as one donor, and incorporation of one atom of oxygen into the other donor > 1.14.13.83 precorrin-3B synthase
Precorrin-3B synthase (CobG) is an iron-sulfur protein in aerobic cobalamin (vitamin B12) biosynthesis; one O2-derived oxygen is incorporated into the macrocycle at C-20. It converts precorrin-3A with NADH and O2 into precorrin-3B, releasing H2O and NAD+.
