L-proline amide hydrolase is an amidase found in viruses and cellular organisms. It hydrolyzes (S)-piperidine-2-carboxamide into (S)-piperidine-2-carboxylate and ammonia, and L-prolinamide into L-proline and ammonia. In cells it recycles proline amides. It features an amidase fold.
