Semenogelase (prostate-specific antigen, gamma-seminoprotein) is a seminal-plasma serine protease in family S1, slowly inhibited by alpha1-antichymotrypsin, that preferentially cleaves Tyr bonds. By liquefying the semen coagulum it enables sperm motility. It appears in viruses and cellular organisms.
