Streptogrisin A is a Streptomyces griseus Pronase component in family S1 with chymotrypsin-like specificity, not inhibited by Tos-Phe-CH₂Cl or ovomucoid. By digesting proteins it supports Streptomyces extracellular proteolysis. It is taxonomically restricted to Streptomyces griseus.
