Sulfhydrogenase is an iron-sulfur protein from the hyperthermophilic archaeon Pyrococcus furiosus, part of two heterotetrameric complexes where β/γ subunits are the sulfur reductase and α/δ subunits hydrogenases (EC 1.12.1.3 and EC 1.12.1.4). It oxidizes H2, reducing polysulfide (sulfide)n to H2S and (sulfide)n-1.
