Vesicle-fusing ATPase is a large family of ATPases in heterotypic fusion of membrane vesicles with target membranes and homotypic fusion of membrane compartments, belonging to the AAA-type ATPase superfamily and including peroxin implicated in Zellweger syndrome; it occurs in eukaryotes and archaea. It hydrolyzes ATP into ADP and phosphate. In SNARE priming it NSF-unfolds SNAREs. It features an NSF/AAA+ domain.
