Vomifoliol dehydrogenase oxidizes vomifoliol to dehydrovomifoliol and is involved in abscisic acid metabolism in Corynebacterium sp. Using NAD+, it converts (6S,9R)-6-hydroxy-3-oxo-α-ionol to (6S)-6-hydroxy-3-oxo-α-ionone, concomitantly reducing NAD+ to NADH and releasing H+.
