Carbonic anhydrase-IN-42
Carbonic anhydrase-IN-42 is an NSAID‑CAI hybrid molecule and an orally active and selective Carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. Carbonic anhydrase-IN-42 exhibits antimycobacterial activity against Mycobacterium marinum and attenuated Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and enhances the antimycobacterial activity of Rifampicin (HY-B0272). Carbonic anhydrase-IN-42 can be used for research on tuberculosis.

In Vitro
Carbonic anhydrase-IN-42 (24-72 h) exhibits the strongest inhibitory effect on mycobacterial bioluminescence signals in H37Ra Mtb biofilms[1].
Carbonic anhydrase-IN-42 (100 μM; 24-96 h) enhances the activity of Rifampicin (HY-B0272) in Mmr biofilms in a CFU-based time-kill assay, but no bactericidal activity is identified for it alone[1].
