IUPAC Name: (1S,2R,3R,4S,5R,6S)-5,6-dihydroxycyclohexane-1,2,3,4-tetrayl tetrakis(dihydrogen phosphate)
InChIKey: MRVYFOANPDTYBY-UZAAGFTCSA-N
SMILES: O(P(=O)(O)O)[C@H]1[C@H](OP(=O)(O)O)[C@@H](OP(=O)(O)O)[C@@H](O)[C@@H](O)[C@@H]1OP(=O)(O)O
Biological Activity: D-myo-Inositol 3,4,5,6-tetrakis phosphate (Ins (3,4,5,6) P4) is a InsP5/InsP4 phosphohydrolase substrate and Ins (1,3,4) P3 5/6-kinase inhibitor that can be dephosphorylated to inositol trisphosphate or converted to pentakisphosphate in an ATP-dependent manner. D-myo-Inositol 3,4,5,6-tetrakis phosphate inhibits calcium-dependent chloride secretion and CaMKII-activated chloride currents through a phosphatase-dependent mechanism, and can serve as a research tool for studying long-acting intestinal chloride flux restriction and desensitization mechanisms related to phospholipase C-related responses[1][2][3][4].
