Biological Activity: Grandinin is a naturally occurring C-glucosidic ellagitannin with antitumor and anti-HSV activities. Grandinin exhibits selective cytotoxicity against human solid tumor cells. Grandinin inhibits the replication of HSV-1 and HSV-2 in Acyclovir (HY-17422)-resistant strains. Grandinin is used in research on melanoma and herpes simplex virus infection[1][2][3].
