SMILES: FC1=CC=C(N=C=S)C=C1

Biological Activity: 4-Fluorophenyl isothiocyanate is an aryl isothiocyanate reagent and synthetic building block. 4-Fluorophenyl isothiocyanate is used to prepare quinazolinone derivatives, (S)-naproxen-derived 1,2,4-triazoles, isoniazid-derived thiosemicarbazones, isatin-β-thiosemicarbazones, thioureas, thiazolidinones, thiazolines, triazoles, and thiadiazoles. 4-Fluorophenyl isothiocyanate reacts with hydrazine to form a dimer of two thiocyanate groups linked by hydrazine, and the formation of this dimer can be avoided by reacting tert-butyl carbazate with the isothiocyanate[1][2][3][4][5][6][7].
