Biological Activity: MV14 is a small-molecule NO donor that exhibits selective antiproliferative activity against bladder cancer cells. MV14 releases NO, causing DNA double-strand damage, inhibiting the NF‑κB pathway, and downregulating the apoptosis-inhibitory protein Survivin. MV14 interferes with the cell cycle and promotes tumor cell apoptosis. MV14 attenuates tumor-associated histopathological changes, urothelial destruction, and stromal invasion in the BBN (HY-W755252)-induced mouse bladder cancer model, and reduces PCNA levels in bladder tumor tissue while increasing active caspase-3. MV14 can be used for research on bladder cancer[1].
