Biological Activity: Inosine 3',5'-cyclic monophosphate (cIMP) is an endogenous cyclic nucleotide second messenger molecule generated by guanylate cyclase (sGC) that mediates vasoconstrictive responses in vascular tissue. Inosine 3',5'-cyclic monophosphate-mediated vasoconstrictive effects depend on an intact eNOS‑NO‑sGC signaling axis, and PDE5 and PDE4A mediate enhanced metabolism of cGMP and cAMP, thereby relieving the masking of the vasoconstrictive activity of cIMP. Inosine 3',5'-cyclic monophosphate participates in the regulation of vascular tone homeostasis and the signaling process of hypoxia-induced coronary vasospasm. Inosine 3',5'-cyclic monophosphate can be used for mechanistic studies of vascular homeostasis and hypoxic coronary vasospasm[1][2].
