Biological Activity: Erysodine is a blood-brain barrier-permeable nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) ligand with high affinity for α4β2 nAChR, Ki = 5 nM, and it blocks nicotine-induced dopamine release and behavioral effects through competitive inhibition.
