Biological Activity: Lupalbigenin is an isoflavonoid compound that can be isolated and extracted from Licorice and Derris scandens. Lupalbigenin exhibits anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, anti-oxidative stress, anti-metastatic, and anti-dermatophyte effects. Lupalbigenin significantly downregulates key survival factors such as pAKT/AKT, pERK/ERK, and the anti-apoptotic protein BCL-2 in cancer cells, thereby promoting apoptosis. Lupalbigenin is also an insect antifeedant and is toxic to chewing and piercing-sucking insects. Lupalbigenin can be used in cancer and fungal infection research[1][2][3][4][5].
