CGS-25015

CGS-25015 is a mercapto-containing metalloprotease inhibitor that inhibits endothelin-converting enzyme (ECE). CGS-25015 inhibits ECE activity with an IC₅₀ of 2.6 μM in porcine coronary artery smooth muscle preparations, and an IC₅₀ of 18 μM in partially purified porcine aortic endothelial cell ECE preparations. CGS-25015 inhibits endothelin production and the resulting vascular smooth muscle contractile response.
