CP61 acetate
Based on 1 Customer Validation
CP61 acetate is a CtBP1 and CtBP2 inhibitor that binds to dimeric CtBP1 and allosterically inhibits NADH binding, disrupting the NADH-dependent dimerization of CtBP1 and CtBP2, inducing aberrant mitosis and micronucleus formation, thereby inhibiting cell proliferation and colony formation. CP61 acetate can be used in breast cancer research.

In Vitro
CP61 (50 μM) acetate selectively increases abnormal mitosis and prolongs mitotic duration in highly glycolytic MCF-7 cells, but has no such effect in MDA-MB-453 cells with lower glycolysis[1].
CP61 acetate inhibits CtBP2 homodimerization with an IC50 of 19 μM in ELISA assays[1].
CP61 acetate disrupts CtBP1 dimerization in a dose-dependent manner[1].
CP61 acetate inhibits NADH binding to CtBP1 through an allosteric mechanism and binds to dimeric CtBP1 with an affinity of 3-11 μM[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
