Cyclam
Based on 1 publication(s) in Google Scholar
Cyclam is a macrocyclic polyamine that can serve as a high-affinity chelator for Cu2+ and a CXCR4-targeting motif. Cyclam is the CXCR4-binding unit of the CXCR4 antagonist Plerixafor (AMD3100) (HY-10046). Cyclam-based macrocyclic compounds possess anti-HIV activity and can mobilize stem cells from the bone marrow. Cyclam can be used in research on ovarian cancer with high CXCR4 expression, as well as in the development of Cu2+ sensors and lanthanide luminescent bioprobes.
